When will the rebrand take place?
The change in branding from ESPN BET to theScore Bet is scheduled to take place on December 1, 2025 across all U.S. jurisdictions where PENN operates online sports betting, subject to final approvals. Additional details will be shared directly to account holders prior to December 1. No action will be needed, as your account will seamlessly transition over to theScore Bet.
Do I need to download a new app?
No, the existing ESPN BET app will become theScore Bet, and your account and log in credentials will remain the same.
Will I need to create a new account on theScore Bet?
No, you will not need to create a new account. Your current account, including your open wagers and wagering history, settings, Responsible Gaming limits, etc., will remain exactly as they are.
Will my account change?
No, you will be able to use the same log in credentials to access your account on theScore Bet. No changes will be made to your wallet, wagering history, account settings, Responsible Gaming limits, etc.
What will happen to my account funds?
Your account funds will remain unchanged during the transition from ESPN BET to theScore Bet.
What will happen to my open wagers?
Any open wagers will remain unchanged, and will be viewable as soon as you log in to theScore Bet.
Will my Responsible Gaming limits remain the same?
Yes, all Responsible Gaming limits set on your account will remain in place.
Will online casino still be available?
Yes, the online casino offering will be available under PENN Entertainment’s Hollywood Casino brand. Hollywood Casino will be accessible within theScore Bet (previously ESPN BET) via mobile app and web, as well as through the standalone Hollywood Casino mobile app and website. Hollywood Casino is available in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
Can I link my account with ESPN?
Once ESPN BET becomes theScore Bet, users will no longer be able to link their ESPN accounts. Users will be able to link their theScore Bet and theScore media accounts for an integrated media and betting experience. By linking accounts, users can track their bets within theScore, access their favorite teams in theScore Bet, and unlock exclusive offers. Will I still be able to live stream games in theScore Bet?
Yes, you can still live stream games in theScore Bet. There are no changes to our live stream functionality.
What happens to my Play of the Week status?
Your current status for Play of the Week will carry over, unchanged.
I opted into promotions in ESPN BET, will they still apply?
Yes, all opted-in promotions will remain, unchanged.
What happens to my PennPlay Loyalty rewards? (PENN Cash, PENN Play Credit, etc.)
Your current rewards and tier status will carry over, unchanged. Your PENN Cash, PENN Play Credit, and Tier Points will all carry over to theScore Bet.
Where can I use theScore Bet?
Wagers can only be placed while physically located within the borders of a state where theScore Bet is licensed to offer sports betting. However, users can log in, deposit, withdraw, and check transaction history from anywhere in the United States. Terms and conditions apply.
theScore Bet is currently live in Ontario, Canada.
Starting December 1, theScore Bet will be available in 21 U.S. jurisdictions, including 20 where ESPN BET currently operates, and Missouri (subject to all regulatory approvals).
Subject to regulatory approval, theScore Bet will be available in: Arizona, District of Columbia, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
If I have an account in Canada with theScore Bet, will it work in the U.S.?
No, due to regulatory restrictions, Canadian and U.S.-based accounts are completely separate. Ontario users visiting the United States, or vice versa, will not be able to use their account in the other country.
